Get Ready for the Ashes at Everton!

Rugby League heads to Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday 1 November for an unmissable second clash in the 2025 ABK Rugby League Ashes Series.

Fierce rivals England and Australia go head-to-head once again - and it’s a historic one, as this will be the first ever non-football event held at Everton’s new home. Expect passion, power, and plenty of drama as England look to level the series in front of a huge crowd.

This game is SOLD OUT, so make sure you arrive early to beat the queues at the turnstiles and soak up the build-up.

From 1:20pm, join hosts Pete Nuttall and Rich Williams inside the bowl as he chats with fans and gets your thoughts on the series so far.

Then, from 1:30pm, get involved in our interactive big screen games - with polls, quizzes, and surprise camera filters powered by VixiSuite.

You’ll get your first look at the players from 1:50pm as both teams take to the field for warm-ups, joined by rugby league legends for live pitchside interviews.

Finally, make sure you’re in your seat by 2:20pm when the teams re-enter to a spectacular pyro display ahead of the national anthems. Raise your voices, get behind England, and get ready for kick-off — it’s time for England v Australia in the Ashes at Everton!

SCHEDULE AND DOOR OPENINGS

England versus Australia will kick-off at 14:30. Hospitality opens from 12:00pm and General Admission turnstiles will open from 12:30pm.

Please arrive early at the stadium to allow enough time for necessary security checks, including enhanced searches and bag checks.

Children (14 years and under) must be accompanied by an adult.

 

TICKETS

Tickets for ABK RL Ashes at Hill Dickinson Stadium are now available to download for digital/print @ home tickets.

To ensure you have the most up to date ticket information, please click on the link within your confirmation email and download your tickets. Alternatively, you can access your tickets by logging into your online account at www.rugby-league.com/tickets.

This is a sold out event and therefore no tickets are available to purchase online or from the ticket office on the day. However, for attending fans facing any ticket queries on the day can visit the stadium ticket office in the South East corner from 11:30am until half-time of the fixture.

Please note that once you enter the stadium, you will not be able to leave and then re-enter.

 

TICKET PLUS

Doors to ticket+ will open at 12:30pm with food and drink available to purchase within your suite.

 

FOOD AND DRINK

You cannot bring your own food and drink into the venue, however Hill Dickinson Stadium offers an extensive range of food and drink inside the stadium. Alcohol will be allowed to be consumed in stadium seats, with a limit of four alcoholic drinks per transaction. More information can be found here.

 

CASHLESS STADIUM

Hill Dickinson Stadium is a cashless venue. No kiosks, including programme sales, will accept cash. Contactless & Card payments will be accepted at all kiosks inside the stadium.

 

BOX PARK

Kick off your weekend early at Box Park Liverpool on the Friday night with an exciting live show where we discuss all things rugby league before the Second Test between Australia and England.

The Levels Network Podcast will be hosting this event, bringing you expert insights and lively discussions with ex NRL stars Willie Mason, Justin Horo and very special guests – the Burgess brothers! Get their insights, Q and A, old war stories, lots of laughs and more.

Join in the banter with hundreds of Aussie and English fans gearing up for a massive second test the following day. Food and drinks available on the day. Purchase your tickets in advance here.

 

FAN ZONE

There is a dedicated fan zone for all Rugby League fans in the Plaza, opening outside the stadium from three hours prior to kick off. The Plaza offers supporters the chance to enjoy food and drink (including alcohol) while listening to the latest sounds from our resident DJ. They are the perfect place to soak up the pre-match party atmosphere with fellow fans.

The fan zone will be open from 11.30 and will close 30 minutes prior to kick-off. Supporters will need to present a valid stadium ticket to enter the Plaza fan zone. The stadium’s bag policy (see below) also applies to anyone visiting the fan zone.

Oxen will have a retail unit situated in the Fan Plaza, where supporters can shop the latest England Rugby League merchandise and much more. The store will be open from 11:30 right up until Kick off (14:30).

 

Fans can also head over to Bierkeller Liverpool to soak up the atmosphere, as it becomes the official pre-match, watch, and after party venue. Enjoy great music, good vibes, and authentic ABK Beer as you celebrate all things England Rugby League.

IN BOWL ENTERTAINMENT

Bringing the energy is go-to hype DJ Tony Perry. Perry is synonymous with Sport’s showpiece events having DJ’d for England football and England Rugby Six Nations amongst countless other blockbuster events. He has previously curated special match day mixes, including for the Rugby League World Cup back in 2021, and is ready to bring the Ashes party to Liverpool with a new, unique mix for all ages.

Before kick-off we have Laura Wright to sing England’s National Anthem, setting the stage for the second test. Wright, one of the world’s leading classical artists, is no stranger to the world of Rugby League having performed at the Super League Grand Final for almost a decade. She has featured at numerous other major sporting events, including the recent NFL London series and the Invictus Games. Singing the Australian National Anthem is Australian-French mezzo-soprano Rebecca Hart.

Hosting the event is the voice of Rugby League, Pete Nuttall, who will be joined by Rich Williams who can be heard across Virgin Radio UK. Williams brings vast experience to the team having hosted various major sporting events, including the Rugby League World Cup and Women’s Euros.

And we’re also bringing back our fan engagement platform, Vixi Suite, so fans can get themselves up on the big screen. But watch out for our roaming cams looking to catch you out with some snapchat filters. There will also be live polls and quizzes to test your Ashes knowledge.

 

DISABLED SUPPORTERS

Hill Dickinson Stadium is a welcoming and inclusive venue for all guests with access requirements. There are 279 places for wheelchair users, each with a personal assistant/companion seat. The stadium also provides a range of services for guests with specialist access requirements including a shuttle service from near the hydraulic tower on The Budweiser Plaza to the ground. RESTRICTED BAG POLICY

Hill Dickinson Stadium operates a restricted bag policy. Each person can only bring one small bag into the stadium, and it must not be bigger than A4 size: Height – 297mm (11.7 inches) - Width – 210mm (8.27 inches) - Depth – 210mm (8.27 inches).

Please note, this means the overall bag size – bags that are half-full and folded over to reduce their size will not be accepted. Anyone carrying bags that do not meet the criteria above will not be allowed into the stadium. BAGGAGE DROP

Please note that there is nowhere to store such items on Club premises. However, there are a number of left luggage facilities in Liverpool City Centre. More information about these can be found here.

 

TRAVEL

There are planned road closures around Hill Dickinson Stadium on the day of the event. Please be aware of these closures before planning your trip.

Supporters are advised that road closures and parking restrictions will be in place in the vicinity of the stadium on match and event days and are advised not to drive directly to the stadium. 

Please DO NOT park on residential and industrial streets surrounding the stadium, as parking enforcement will be in operation. Any illegally parked cars will incur a fine.

SOFA TO SEAT

Hill Dickinson Stadium is located to the north of the city centre and is conveniently served by all forms of public transport.

PARKING AT HILL DICKINSON STADIUM

Event day parking at Hill Dickinson Stadium is limited and for accessible users only. Those intending to travel by car are advised to use car parks in the vicinity of the city centre or Bootle Strand, for onward travel to the stadium by train, shuttle bus, or on foot. FLAG POLICY

Flags under 2m x 1m are permitted, providing they have an accompanying fire safety certificate - and will be checked prior to entry. Flags must not contain anything considered to be offensive or discriminatory, including politically motivated statements.

Flag poles are not allowed. Fans may be asked to relocate or remove banners should they block exits, stairwells, safety information or the view of another supporter. 

Everton Football Club does not allow any megaphones, drums or similar items to be bought into the stadium.

 

Anti-Social Behaviour

Hill Dickinson Stadium has a zero-tolerance policy for all anti-social and discriminatory behaviour. Tougher measures are now in place for the following offences:

 

ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR

Entering the pitch without permission

Smoke bombs or pyros

Throwing objects

Drug use

Discriminatory behaviour

Racist or homophobic chanting

 

CONSEQUENCES

Reported to the police

Ejected from the stadium

Criminal record

Education or employment at risk

Life-time ban
